If you are a frequent golfer at Arrowhead over the past year you are probably aware of the construction of two new holes. There has been a lot of excitement and questions over the holes as well as a lot of great compliments. We will be chronicling the progress right here on the Arrowhead Blog as we near completion. In the coming weeks we will be putting up pictures of the progress and talk about some of the trials and tribulations that we have encountered.
If you have not been out to Arrowhead lately we have two exciting holes going in and will be ready for play in 2012! The two new holes will be the fourth and fifth holes on the front nine. Every hole will move down two spots - the existing fourth hole will become sixth hole, the fifth hole will become the 7th hole, etc. The finishing hole on the front will be the existing 7th hole. The existing 8th and 9th holes will be a memory as we will eliminate those. Some of you I know are really happy about that!
The two new holes will both be a par four and will incorporate woods and water. The first new hole boasts a dramatic elevated tee that will remind you of an up north course. The second new hole is a dog-leg right and will require you to strategically place your drive to approach the green on your second shot depending on the pin placement. It will also provide a huge risk-reward scenario.
Since they are both a par four and we are eliminating a par three, we are going to shorten the existing number four and convert it into a par three. We are still in the decision making process on exactly how far to make it.
We will keep you updated and will be posting pictures in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
